An evening together

So we started a new type of dating recently that so far is working pretty good. It is usually months between dates. There are a lot of reasons, finding a good babysitter that is trusted and available, cost is another, when you factor in $30-$40 for the babysitter, $40-$50 for dinner depending on where we go and then if we go to a movie or something it is even more. So we started doing what I'm calling dating in. It entails putting the kids to bed, I cook dinner (that's Kira's favorite part) and then we watch a movie or sit in the cuddle chair and talk. Redbox is great. At $1 a rental who can beat that right? So far it has worked really well, there is the risk of interruptions but so far there haven't been any and overall it has been surprisingly relaxing and enjoyable.
